Historical Information

Richard Preston traveled from Bear River in 1853 to Acaciaville (Digby Joggins) and then to Weymouth Falls and established churches in those local communities. In later years, Lic. Charles Jordan was given charge of the young congregation at Acaciaville. The date of construction for the church building has long been forgotten. In 1959 three rooms were added to the church structure. Under the leadership of Rev. W. P. Clayton, Acaciaville and Weymouth Falls were connected until 1966.
