Historical Information

The Northside Baptist Church congregation started in 1976, the same year they constructed their facility. This building is typical for its time in terms of size and style. The building is a split level construction; once one enters they can go up for the sanctuary, or go down for fellowship hall, kitchen area, and recreational space. The church has modern cushioned pews on the interior.

The front facade of the church is covered in brick, and has a centrally placed doorway on the gable end. There is a roof overhang, above these doors, with the same pitch in the roof as the main structure.. On either side of the doorway there is a single pane window. The eave side of the church features a combination of brick and vinyl siding. There are two sets of four windows on either side, with the space between them covered in brick. There are few architectural embellishments on this facility, and the most striking feature is the portico over the front doors. There is also a side entrance on the left side at the same level as the main doors. There are skylights on the black asphalt roof.
