The Parkside Baptist Church was organized on January 27, 1927 with thirty-one members. During the ministry of Reverend Reginald Snell, the congregation chose to become an independent Baptist church.
The building has changed over the years from a small white hall to the modern brick building standing today, which includes an education wing added in 1973.
