Allen Gibson in “Churches by the Sea” suggests that the church body at Granville Centre was established in 1874, originally stemming from the Bridgetown Baptist Church. Church records at Granville Centre indicate that the ties with the parent church, Bridgetown Baptist Church, were officially broken in 1907.
