Historical Information
A Baptist meetinghouse was opened in St. Croix Cove in December of 1855. The structure has a typical meetinghouse designed structure with three rows of pews and a pine ceiling. It appears stovepipes, which ran horizontally through the sanctuary, provided the heat. Although the church is inactive year-round, it continues to hold annual Christmas Eve services and summer weddings.
