Historical Information

From historical records, it appears that Victoria Vale United Baptist Church is woven into the history of the Upper Wilmot field. The Victoria Vale Church body was conceived within the bounds of the old Lower Aylesford and Upper Wilmot Baptist Churches. The first church structure is said to have been built on the hill near Prince Albert; however, it burned along with all records. The present church at Victoria Vale was built in 1893. Rev. L.J. Tingley pastored the field. In 1908, Victoria Vale was categorized as a separate section from Upper Wilmot. The church at Victoria Vale was later considered part of the Margaretsville pastorate. In 2004 Victoria Vale concluded their shared minister arrangement with Margaretsville, and since have arranged for their own part-time minister.
